An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market leading company for an engineer with a good mix of embedded software / firmware and electronics design experience. You will be part of a well established R&D team.
You will Participate in the development and implementation of new product design from the initial development stage through the full lifecycle design and participate in existing software solutions written in C and Assembly, design and definition of embedded software and firmware for the electronics platforms.
Experience:
* Embedded C and Assembly Language
* Experience with learning and documenting existing architectures
* Analogue and Digital Electronics Design with emphasis on Microcontrollers
* Schematic design and hand PCB layout experience
Advantageous:
* Good working knowledge of various communication principles including CAN, RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C TCP/IP etc.
Candidates would benefit from having the following skills/experience however these are not essential:
* RFID or RF design
* Experience with Microchip Microcontrollers
You will be a good communicator who can take technical information and present it in a way that can be clearly understood by an end user and a self starter, enthusiastic, willing to learn.
