Description
Summary- Manage IT projects, initiation through closeout, as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives.
- Provide leadership for IT project team members and the Project Management process.
- Position generally used for projects requiring integration of multiple functional organizations.
- Works independently with only general direction.
- Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects.
- Responsible for project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations.
- Directly accountable for the management of large projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (technical or management discipline) with at least 6 years experience, a minimum of 3 years of which have been as a project team member
- OR 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years professional experience of which 3 must be in the field of management of projects AND PMP Certification
- Must have a minimum of 5-8 years of project management & project scheduling experience
- Must be fluent with MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & PowerPoint; Must also be very capable with MS Project and Visio/process mapping too
- Clearly understands project methodology/development life cycle (design, build, test, deploy)
- Problem Solver - ability to assess difficult situations, work through issues (ie design issues) and either solve independently or with the help of others
- Driver - ability to work independently with low to moderate level guidance
- Facilitation - ability to prepare for and lead discussions where needed
- Deliverable creation - ability to create and review project deliverables (requirements, business process designs, application designs, etc.)
- Well Organized - ability to multi-task (preferably with work plan and communication planning skills)
- Strong experience in meeting planning, coordination and facilitation
- We need a Technical PM who has worked on IT projects, data center consolidations, roll out activities, migrations, contract management, etc
- 3-5 years' experience doing technical projects
- Cost optimization projects: understand initiative, present options to stakeholders
- Present to leadership and capture an audience
- May be some financial responsibilities
- PMP cert. - ideal but not required
