Description

Exception are recruiting for multiple Wintel Engineers to be deployed onsite with their Financial Services client across various locations in the UK.

There are varying levels of roles required, so we are looking for people experienced in Project Delivery working closely with the PM's and SME's in the build, installation, deployment and ongoing maintenance of hardware adhering to policies and procedures, and assisting them in the configuration of the Approved design, as well as good 'hands on engineers' used to working in a moves and changes environment.

The majority of the work will be around Windows 2003 remediation. This will involve liaising with vendors and the business carrying out mainly 'lift & shift' type work to upgrade the hardware to a more modern platform.

Therefore this will require experience of the install, build and configuration of Windows 2016 Servers, clearing old operating systems ready for decommission, the investigation of existing applications, server testing and builds.

This is a long term programme, so there is minimum 6 month contracts on offer. If you are immediately available, please send your CV now for immediate consideration.

Exception is a member of CIFAS - the UK's leading anti-fraud organisation and all prospective recruits will undergo CIFAS screening as part of the recruitment process. Fraud prevention databases have been established for the purpose of allowing employers to share data on their employment fraud cases.

This means that as part of our offer process (for either permanent or contract roles):

  • We will check your details with/against fraud prevention databases
  • Should our investigations identify fraud or the commission of any other criminal offence by you when applying for, or during the course of your duties with us, we will record the details of this on the relevant fraud prevention databases
  • This information may be accessed from the UK and other countries and used by law enforcement agencies and by us and other organisations to help prevent fraud

Please contact Michael Buchan, Fraud Manager at (see below) if you want to receive details of the relevant fraud prevention databases through which we share information.
