Communications Manager - Retail Banking -Digital Banking - Business Change

A leading Retail Bank based in London is seeking a Communications Manager to work on a complex project, which offers the opportunity to work with senior level professionals in a highly respected organisation.

The purpose of the role is for the Communications Manager to act as the liaison between the Shared Components programme and key stakeholders who provide communication content to the bank.

Supporting the Shared Components teams to communicate their key milestones to various audiences.

Day-to-day activities include:

  • Development and effective delivery of communications strategy and plan
  • Feed into Customer Journey consolidated comms plan by working with central programme Comms Lead
  • Management of key stakeholders - keep them regularly informed of comms progress against the plan and the overall customer journey transformation comms strategy and plan, advise and consult them on best practice and governance
  • Successfully articulate the Shared Components narrative across the Group and how it aligns with Customer Journey Transformation
  • Adhere to Group's comms best practice, governance, brand guidelines
  • Work closely with other comms reps in the overall programme to raise awareness of Shared Components and how components are being used by business units . Gain their support, where appropriate, to communicate out to their business units
  • Maintain programme's SharePoint site
  • Develop a Shared Components message bank
  • Understand and support production of marketing materials from Shared Components teams to showcase their products

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills within financial services (ideally retail banking):

  • Proven experience in similar Communications Manager roles with a focus on Internal Comms
  • Communications project planning and timely delivery
  • Experience of digital environments
  • Experience gained within large Corporate/Professional Services environments
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Effective stakeholder engagement
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of the wider comms team
  • Organisational awareness

As well as proven experience on a large scale programme within a banking environment.

This is a business change role not a technical/IT position.
