Description

Álo (www.meetalo.com) is a small Marketing agency that uses content and technology to drive growth for clients. We need a developer who can build a Web application in .NET MVC on a 10 week full-time contract.

The application is an innovative content experience that delivers a personalized feed of video and other content based on the profile of the user. It also tracks the progress of users against their "assigned" content and allows Administrators to track engagement at several different levels. The goal of the platform is to transform a process and experience that has historically been delivered offline-- and has suffered because of it.

The product strategy is defined, requirements are set, estimates complete, and the blueprints (wireframes) have been approved. We're starting the design soon, which will be followed by the development of a prototype. When you get your hands on the platform you'll have a clickable prototype and a kit of parts to define any design elements. We expect there to be some front-end work to be done, but we need someone to do the heavy lifting on the back-end--from setting up the server to writing the custom .NET code to working with APIs for video platforms and other third party systems.

It should be a really interesting project and we do our best to make this a great place to work. You'd be welcomed as part of our team.

Job Requirements
- Proven experience building enterprise-ready .NET MVC applications for the Web
- Ability to work with new and familiar APIs
- High level of competency with  SQL Server
- Experience building Web apps that are responsive (desktop, laptop, and phone)
- Knowledge of and experience with modern development protocols and tools
- Ability to set up and manage a GIT environment
- An obsession with clean and semantic code
- Experience with one or more JS frameworks, and the ability to write custom Javascript (if necessary)
- An appreciation for design and user experience
- Good communication skills (in English) and the ability to work well on a team

We would strongly prefer someone from the Atlanta area who could work from the office a couple times a week. But if we can't find the right person locally, we are willing to collaborate on a fully remote basis.

The project is scheduled to start in mid-February or early March, but if you are able to build the prototype from designs we could start as soon as the first week in February. We will likely need some support after the product is launched, and may seek to extend the contract if we secure a contract for a second phase.

If you are interested, please  make sure to include a resume (or LinkedIn profile), examples of your work, rate (per week), and availability between February and April. Please make sure to include specifics about what YOU did on each project in your portfolio.
