Proteus Europe is currently looking for a Software System Engineer for one of our clients based in Dorset.The Software System Engineer main task will be to develop the client's range of products in the field of testing aerospace, automotive, rail and energy systems. Related with Technical support, Sales and Marketing, he / she will:
-Collect the needs of the market and customers as part of our product development policy, focused on innovation and new technologies in the field of testing,
- Participate under our research and development activities on the intelligence and evaluation of new technologies applicable to our test systems,
- Propose and develop innovative technical solutions, by evolving or imagining new concepts, system architectures and software solutions,
- Present our customers our technical solutions from the prospection phases and support our offers when responding to tenders to actively participate in capturing orders,
- Take over the development of our new or existing products, in compliance with the technical, schedule and budgetary requirements and with the constant concern to satisfy our customers
Profile
Engineering or science degree, Software engineer with a significant experience in this job (at least 5 years)
Technical required skill set:
- Methods/architectures : UML/UML2, Objet development, Agile
- Langages : C/C++, C#, JAVA, Python, bash,
- Web : HTML5, CSS3, JavaEE, JavaScript, ASP.NET,
- Tools : GIT, SVN, Ant et Cmake, Eclipse, Hudson/Jenkins, ALM (Jira, )
- Environments: Linux (packeting, kernel, drivers, customisation), Windows (.net)
Additional wished skills:
- Electronic concepts, real time programming,
- Knowledge of bus and signal types used in industry (aeronautics, rail, space, ...).
French speaking would be a significant advantage
Able to be settled in France for 3-6 months
