Description

Role: Embedded Software Engineer x3

Location: York

Duration: 6 Months - scope to extend

Start Date: ASAP but can wait until 22nd Feb for the right person

Rate: £35-40 per hour (depending on experience)

(Embedded Software, Embedded C, MISRA, Automotive, York)

I have three contract opportunities for experienced Embedded Software Engineers with experience writing in Embedded C and working towards MISRA standards to work on an automotive project based in York.

These contracts will initially be for 6 months but there is scope for extensions which could turn these into long term contracts.

This is a great opportunity to join a stand out name in the industry and put a well known company name on to your CV which will no doubt make you stand out from the crowd.

The role will involve working on a project for one of their key customers. Previously the project was outsourced, but they have made a decision to bring the project back in hosue to their UK development team.

As such they are looking for 3 - 4 Embedded Software Engineers who have experience in the follwing; Embedded C & MISRA, to join their in house project management and software development team.

You will be joining a team of talented engineers working on a hardware security system component which protects ECU signals.

It is essential that you are able to code in Embedded C and have worked towards MISRA standards.

Previous experience working in the automotive industry as well as experience with automotive protocols such as CAN would be a bonus but not necessary critical.

If you have had experience working towards other safety critical standards such as ISO26262 or D0178b would be an advantage but again is not essential.

Essential Skills;
  • Embedded C
  • MISRA
  • Assembler

Desirable;
  • Previous experience working within the automotive sector
  • IS026262 or D0178b

Ideally, they are looking to bring people in ASAP and can have people set up to start on 1st February, if the right person comes along however, they are prepared to wait until 22nd February.

The first batch of interviews will be taking place Wednesday 27th Feb (PM) and Friday 29th Feb (PM) ideally these will be face to face but they can do extended telephone interviews which will last for 1 hour. My client will be looking to make quick decisions after these.
