Description
Summary- The Kosher contractor is a critical role in our operations. The person ensures all raw materials have the required status so they can be used in our manufacturing facilities, and that the correct Kosher symbol is assigned to finished product packages.
- Review raw materials, formulas and product specs. Complete the corresponding Kosher sections on Meridian specs.
- Make submissions on Kosher Agencies websites
- Maintain updated Kosher databases on the NA Kosher Teamsite (Schedules and Request Tracker)
- Provide finished product certificates as requested by customers and other contacts
- Assists with other compliance and regulatory tasks as needed
- Completes Kosher spec reviews on time and accurately
- Maintains an updated request tracker
- Identifies issues with raw materials, formulas and product specs and works with manager to resolve
- Gains the trust of R&D partners and Kosher agencies and is able to answer their questions
Skills and Experience
- Organized, attentive to detail, multitasker, good communicator
- Experience with Microsoft Office; particularly Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and other advanced functionality)
- Knowledge of Meridian Interspec and Teamsites/SharePoint preferable, but not required
- Education: Bachelor's in science related field, preferably Food Science
- Years of experience: 1-2 years of experience in CPG
- Organized, attentive to detail, multitasker, good communicator
- Advanced Excel: pivot tables, v-lookup
- Preferred: Meridian Interspec experience not required.
