Description
Giving Gateway is looking to hire a contract web developer with a strong attention to detail, who is able to follow a specific set of instructions, but work independently on the project when required. Candidate must be proficient at writing reusable and modular code, and is able to conceptualize code development prior to implementation.Required Skills:
- 2+ years professional experience with front-end web development technologies
- Expert knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, and jQuery
- Strong communication skills
- Good experience editing and branding/customizing themes for Drupal 7 and higher
- Skilled at implementing front-end UI frameworks such as Bootstrap
- Experienced using modern front-end development tools
- Skilled at creating and modifying websites using responsive architecture/methodologies
- Experienced converting PSDs and wireframes to HTML/CSS
- Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility
Plus:
- Experience with PHP OOP (Object-oriented Programming)
- Excellent working knowledge with MySQL databases and relational databases
- Solid design sensibilities with experience developing or sourcing intuitive UX / UI / GUI elements
- Accustomed to developing in Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) or Linux/Nginx/MySQL/PHP (LEMP) environments.
- Embrace change and can easily adapt to new situations
- Version Control Systems, preferably Distributed VCS such as Git
