Oracle DBA 12c contract

A leading Insurance company are looking to add a Senior Oracle DBA to their project team for a 6 month contract with a high possibility for extension beyond this. This client is putting together a new project team to fully upgrade their systems to 12c.

Role: Oracle DBA

Duration: 6 months daily rate contract

Location: Cork, Ireland

X-Factor: High probability of extension and this company on your CV will help you get future contracts.

Day to DayYou will be designing and developing a new system which is a full upgrade from 9i to 12c. This involves configuring it all in a new environment, transferring and replicating the data across. 50% of the role is operational including performance tuning and general maintenance.

Skills/Experience:5 years+ experience delivering solutions, working with:
  • Oracle DBA (9i, 10c, 11g, 12c)
  • Migration experience
  • RMAN, Data-guard, Disaster recovery
  • RAC and OEM
  • PL/SQL


Desirable
  • 12c certification
  • Linux
  • GoldenGate


Type of person for the Oracle role:

This role will suit a great communicator who is also comfortable technically. Exposure to 12c, proven project past and migration experience are all essential.
