Description
We are currently searching for a Data Scientist to work in Amsterdam, The Netherlands for 6 months + extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a international client. We are searching for someone who can start as soon as possible!
Information about the role:
- Develop segmentations, predictive models, and statistical insights using appropriate tools
- Analyse data deeply to understand patterns and trends
- Transform these insights into actionable reports, targeting algorithms, and personalisation filters
- Understand key drivers of rules/model variation and communicate insights to regional and global executives
- Provide technical expertise in statistical analysis, mathematical modelling, data mining/machine learning
- Partner with business units to challenge their thinking, provide direction
- Work with cross functional teams on ad-hoc projects
- Share best practices with analysts across the organisation
Your profile:
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a similar position
- 1+ years experience within big data tool Hadoop is a real must!
- 1+ years experience with Customer Analytics
- Quantitative degree (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, ...)
Advantages are:
- Experience in segmentation building, predictive analytics, and statistical modelling
- Proficiency in SAS, R, Matlab or other analytics/data mining package and Hadoop (must)
- Familiarity with Search Algorithms a plus
