Perl Developer - 380/day 6 months Cardiff
Perl Developer required for a Government client based in Cardiff. This role sits within a team that are using modern technologies to transform digital services in order to enhance customer experience by making the platforms more convenient to access and use.
Working with a range of technologies including XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and AJAX, you will be responsible for managing code releases, managing and tracking task, investigating and fixing software faults and bugs, assisting in providing development time scales and assisting in providing technical feedback on business requirements.
To be considered, candidates will need to have experience in the following areas:
Extensive commercial Perl development experienceExperienced in OO software engineering
Experience developing RESTful API s
Knowledge of Mojolicious framework
Experience of No-SQL databases preferably MongoDB
Recent experience developing on a Unix platform.
Experience working within an agile environment.
Advocate and drive a test driven development approach such as Cucumber, Selenium, Concordian etc
Desirable:
Basic knowledge of Java/ScalaExperience with JQuery.
Knowledge of Golang
Knowledge of messaging platforms eg Kafka
Knowledge of working with cloud provision or similar
Knowledge of Redis
