GIS DEVELOPER (SHAREPOINT 2010, HTML5/JAVASCRIPT, SILVERLIGHT)
The contract is with a large consultancy to be on assignment at a European site in Stockholm, Sweden. The client is seeking a GIS Developer to continue development and to provide technical support for other GIS activities.
Tasks:
1. Supporting maintenance and system of mapping tool according to its development plan:
. display of labels and annotations in the map;
. porting of code-base from Silverlight to HTML5/JavaScript upon request;
. further automatisation of the deployment procedures
2. Supporting system design and development to create Geoportal in several phases integrating mapping application portal and Geoportal Front End and Back End;
. Contribution to feasibility study for Geoportal with technical solution proposals;
. Design and development of the Geoportal Front End.
3. Successfully and in collaboration with the in-house GIS development resources, the consultant will undertake the software development tasks that are part of the software development activities:
. develop Web GIS applications on Sharepoint 2010;
. design and implement integration of technological components;
. adapt the existing code, removal or replacement of components;
. identify functional/logic views for software development;
. design and application of Test Cases to deliver the software;
. write technical documentation;
. assist with the designs and implementation of the GIS applications architecture;
. identify the cause of bugs, document and develop long term solutions;
. provide support and application maintenance.
Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
