MySQL DBA required for leading logistics company based in York, North Yorkshire.My client embrace some really interesting technology including Big Data (NoSQL/MongoDB), cloud (Amazon Web Service) and and ETL platforms (Redshift, Dynamo, RDB).
They are primarily looking for somebody who has good strength in the administration of MySQL databases and this will be the primary purpose of the role.
You will be paid up to £400 per day on the basis of an initial three month contract based primarily in the York office, there will be some capacity to work from home (perhaps one or two days per week.)
Main responsibilities of MySQL DBA:-
-All aspects of DBA work including performance tuning, optimization and troubleshooting on a MySQL database -Put procedures in in place for management of MySQL estate -Work closely with MySQL development team It would also be beneficial but by no means necessary that you have some knowledge of the aforementioned big data and cloud technologies as well as some experience of Oracle administration.
