Quality Engineer - up to 115 CHF per hourLocation: Zurich - Switzerland
My client, one of the leading Swiss banks is looking for a Quality Engineer.
IT services are increasingly interlinked in workflows across platform, technology, organizational systems or business processes. In such contexts, quality engineering facilitates the necessary all-embracing consideration of quality over multiple attributes and boundaries.
The Quality Engineer will validate and verify the introduction of solutions spanning from Architecture, Software Development, IT Infrastructure, and Business Process
The Quality Engineer is involved in tasks that include software design, control of source code, reviewing code, configuration management, change management, program testing, integration of software, and release management process.
He or she is expected to understand the entire process and be able to support project delivery goals - such as verification root cause, capability, reliability, performance and KPI's.
Tasks:
- Assure that the final product meets the promises made to our business and supports end user satisfaction at the appointed time in the project.
- Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities with a scalable end-to-end system view
- Identify and record bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts
- Validate System Performance
- Candidate Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven working experience in software development at a bank
- Proven working experience in software quality assurance for a Swiss bank
- Solid knowledge of SQL and Java scripting
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Knowledge of Software QA / Project methods, tools, and processes
Contract: 12 month rolling (view for long term)
Rate: Up to 115 CHF per hour
Notice: Up to 4 weeks
