Description
Systems Administrator (Rabbit MQ, Active MQ) urgently required to join a team in Leeds. you should have 5 years' experience in a delivery focussed environment with an in-depth knowledge of system administration with the following technologies/skill set:
- x86 virtualisation
- Server hardware/blade technology both X86 and RISC unix (ibm PowerPC preferred)
- Understanding of Java Middleware deployment and configuration - such as servlet containers and Java Application Servers (Apache Tomcat, Jboss)
- Messaging systems (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
- Java Support/management of Development tool chain and utilities (Jenkins, Git, svn, Nexus etc) in a mixed environment (unix & Windows)
- Some experience/active interest in automation process and tooling
- Understanding of network devices/appliances (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, content Switches, etc )
- WAN/LAN technologies
- Experience of UNIX/Linux OS (SUSE Linux distributions, AIX, HPUX, etc...)
- Experience of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Virtualisation technologies (VMware Xen, KVM, etc)
- Database technology (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, etc...)
- Security (network security, authentication, etc)
- Knowledge of virtualisation platforms and cloud orchestration technologies such as VSphere, Xen, Cloudstack and Openstack.
- Experience of working with outsourced providers and remote teams
