An embedded software engineer is required to join a leading technology company based in Birmingham, who design medical systems. The company are looking to bring their development in-house, and this would be to help with the team and to help implement software and electronics design.
Role: Embedded Software Engineer
Salary: upto £50,000 DOE
Location: Birmingham
The Role:
* Responsible for the software aspects of design and the successful integration with all software and firmware.
* Liaising with customers, suppliers, sales and installation teams as well as all in-house staff.
* Improve efficiency of the software design process, including fully testing and control of releases.
* Leading software design reviews as required to review ideas and schemes from other engineers and contractors.
Key Skills:
* Windows Embedded 8 or above
* Proficient with XAML Extensible Application Markup Language
* Knowledge of RS485, RS232, I2C, GPIO protocols (As many as possible).
* Expert in Visual Studio anything version 2010 above and/or MVC.
* USB/Bluetooth/Wifi/SDHC/Ethernet connections
* Good customer facing skills
* Degree or equivalent in software engineering or a relevant discipline
Desirable Skills:
* Real Time Systems
* Knowledge of EN 62304:2006
