Description

Our client is looking for a Credit Risk Manager to join their existing banking team in Edinburgh.

The contract length is initial 12 months and will report to the Head of Credit Risk. You will be responsible for managing credit risk within all the standard governance, policy and control frameworks). Additionally you will be required to propose new initiatives across the current portfolio.

Some of the key duties are highlighted below, but this is not the full list required:

* Drive the Credit Risk portfolio in line with strategic objectives
* Stakeholder Management across multiple divisions and business portfolio
* Develop Credit Risk Initiatives and policies in line with conduct and existing policy
* Identify opportunities for risk and return
* Develop and implement new processes and where applicable new systems for credit risk
* Provide reporting and insight around the performance of Credit Risk and associated portfolios
* Agree impacts of ongoing price changes on credit risk parameters
* Evaluate and conclude on new scorecard/behavioural models
* Identify and provide feedback on emerging trends and issues

In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following

* Extensive experience in Credit Risk Management
* Experience of credit scoring and statistical modelling or similar
* Well developed stakeholder management skills
* In depth knowledge of the lending process, Credit Policy and regulatory matters relevant to credit
* Experience in either SAS, SAL, Teradata experience (this is a must)
* Retail Banking experience
