Description

UML, TOGAF, Sparx EA and Zachman Frameworks

We are seeking and experienced Enterprise Architect for an assignment with a government organisation based in Central London. You will work with others to specify technical requirements to support the objectives and to assist with the selection of suppliers (where appropriate) to fulfil the requirements. Also, you will input technical expertise into service requirements, develop, validate and review conceptual, logical and physical architectural designs, manage the architectural aspects of the target design, policies and standards and work pro-actively to achieve stable, viable designs.

You should have an understanding of the government's digital and technology transformation agenda and why the government is changing the way it does digital and technology projects You should have the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, bring together people and views to inform decision making, and be willing to support work that isn't part of your core role You will have expertise in the development of architectures based on common processes and technical components. You will also require strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people and the ability to create and/or follow design patterns across departments and across government.

Your technical skills should include the use of EA tools, ideally Sparx EA, experience with Legacy platforms, Middleware and development technologies, experience in supporting applications and understanding the issues of maintaining such applications, understanding mainstream vendor products and their licensing terms, strong knowledge of IM/Information Technologies (preferably in public sector), extensive experience in working a multi-vendor, multi-operator and multi-partner environment.and you should preferably familiar with UML, TOGAF and Zachman Frameworks.
