Proteus Europe is searching for some C , Linux software engineer with some experience of IP Protocols for one of our clients in IrelandOur Client :-

Working alongside your new Finnish, Irish and Indian colleagues, you will be part of an international team delivering global solutions.
Your New role :-
Our client is looking for C, Linux software professionals who are excited about their work and who are motivated to extend their knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, on an ongoing basis. You will have a - can do- attitude and be able to work effectively, sometimes in high-pressure situations, in an international and multi-cultural environment.
You will participate in designing, implementing, testing and documenting the product as one of the software professionals in the team. In addition to software development you will participate in designing and implementing automated software testing, continuous integration and unit testing.
You will have already the following attributes:-
- Ability to analyse, design, develop, build and unit test all software deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills.
- To be a team player but also be able to work independently.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages and share what you have learnt to push our technology leadership mentality.
- Strong sense of responsibility.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
- Competent in C programming with a minimum 5 years of experience.
- Solid understanding of IP based protocols - with proven experience implementing and supporting at least one in a real time production environment.
- Linux Operating system and development environments.
Desirable Skills :-
- Good understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
- Experience on telecom and OSS/BSS domain.
- Telecoms Protocol and Signaling Experience - Previous experience implementing one or more of the following: SS7/ SIGTRAN, SIP, Diameter, CAMEL, MAP.
- Some Java development experience and knowledge of test automation frameworks and methodologies e.g. Jenkins/Hudson.
- Some development experience in PHP and/or Perl.
- High performance / multithreaded designs, based on appropriate languages.
- Knowledge of software build systems (e.g. make, maven).
- Cloud and virtualization technologies.
- SCRUM and Agile experience.
