Description

On behalf of a company with offices in Merseyside we are looking for a Contract Technical Project Manager. The need has come about due to them them securing several large projects since the beginning of the year. The role is for a minimum six month contract, but extensions are expected. A 28 day notice period can be offered on a day rate basis. We are looking for someone who can interview on within the next seven days and be able to start by the end of the month.

The Technical Project Manager is expected to support and manage the organisation's software work streams, work side by side with the lead developers, Business analysts and internal stake holders. A back ground in software development, or experience as a software / Technical PM is essential. You will work with an established team and sit within the PMO department and report in the Program manager.

Responsibilities include: Serve as primary contact for the departments software needs -Ensure a high output of quality of software, ensuring the necessary departments are informed about any changes to work or timescales/ -Communicate changes to stakeholders through the correct communication methods -maintain software & budget forecasts

Qualifications -Proven track record as a Project Manager, delivering multiple concurrent projects/programs under budget and on schedule. Strong communication, leadership, facilitation, mentoring and personnel management skills -Experience in working with multi discipline teams across different locations -Must have knowledge of industry best practices for project management, software engineering and business processes, - Thorough understanding of SDLC (bespoke software, internal systems and web) - Ability to communicate to internal staff both locally and in other offices across the UK&I.

Required Experience / Education: * At least 4 years of project management experience * Agile SDLC is essential * Project Management Certification.
