Description
Service Operations Manager - Incidents with experience in infrastructure monitoring wanted for our client in Basel.Your tasks:
- Supporting (software) infrastructure stack of IT applications (mainly web applications) running in a virtualized environment
- Ensuring IT infrastructure availability to prevent application outages of lived applications
- Monitoring IT infrastructure and handle alert to prevent or to address application disruptions
- Troubleshooting of incidents to identify root causes and organize resolution
- Escalating incidents reoccurrence and help to remediate by taking preventive actions
Your experience/skills:
- Minimum 6 years of experience on different IT roles covering at least 3 technologies amongst OS, Application Sever, Database, Network, IAM (authentication)
- 5+ years experience in large datacentre environment (300+ servers) and at least 2 years experience with monitoring and alerting tools
- Good knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) and Windows (2008, 2012) operations
- Expertise in the full stack of a web applications including connections (Web Service calls, JDBC calls)
- Solid know-how of cloud environment (AWS), web application development and automation tools (Puppet, CHEF) is a plus
