Description

We are supporting a Global Renewable Energy client in their search for a Consultant, to work as a Yard Project Manager at its offshore wind farm projects in Denmark, Belgium, Spain or UK (Jackets Fabrication). Our client is looking for a Consultant who can deliver completed fabricated and commissioned offshore substations ready for sail-away on time, within scope and budget and according to decided quality and HSE requirements. This a 34-month freelance contract, the assignment is expected to start approx. 1st March 2016 up until end of December 2018 with the possibility of further extension. Hours of work will be 5 days per week, 10 hrs in average.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
  • Identify resource needs, request and secure resources with relevant competencies for the project scopes.
  • Delegate task accordingly, facilitate collaboration across the project
  • Head project meetings and participate in cross-projects and other relevant meetings
  • Ensure a strong HSE focus within the team including risk identification and control. Demonstrate leadership in safety and proactively minimise risk and enhance a safety culture.
  • Manage the project related quality assurance and compliance with national rules and regulations
  • Coordinate with the other OSS discipline managers and facilitate cross- organisational optimisation and interface alignment
  • Update, monitor and control budget (CAPEX), time schedule, cost and quality in accordance with the above
  • Liaise with contract managers, manage contracts, variation orders and claims. Maintain relationships with contractors/suppliers.
  • Identify, analyse and manage project risks, update when needed implement response plan.
  • Plan QA and HSE activities
  • Continually control and report progress, time and cost
  • Ensure documentation of works and smooth transition to O&M
Qualifications:
  • MSc, BSc or other relevant Master's Degree equivalent to IPMA level A/B and/or PMI PMP
  • 5 - 10 years relevant project experience within wind, oil & gas industry, civil structures and/or large construction
  • Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills as well as commercial understanding and awareness

The Consultant must bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software and mobile telephone
