SQL Database Administrator
My client are looking for a SQL Database Administrator to join their team. You will be responsible for maintaining the Production SQL Environment.
The environment is made up of:
- SQL Server 2008 & 2012 virtualised instances
- A mix of always on and stand alone
- In a high availability, clustered environment
You will have experience with tools/technologies such as:
- High Availability Cluster setup
- Disaster Recovery
- VMWare Site Recovery Manager
- Designing and improving Backup Strategies; Database restoration and roll back
- SQL Server performance enhancement; tuning and optimisation
- Database mirroring environments
- Virtualisation exposure (VMWare)
- Database Scripting
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience on the items mentioned above
- You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail with good judgement in a logical and structured approach to work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management, staff and contractors; exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others.
- You will have appropriate Windows and SQL Server certification
- Knowledge about Windows server operating systems (2012 R2)
- Excellent time and priority management, dealing with project and operational requests
- Knowledge about ITIL processes IT Service Management a plus
