IT Support Engineer - Contract - Chepstow, South Wales



Job role: IT Support Engineer

Day rate: £100.00-£120.00 Per Day dependant on experience

Location: Chepstow, South Wales

Start Date: Immediate

Contract length: 3/4 Months



Computer Futures are seeking an IT Support Engineer for a market leading client based in Newport, South Wales. The IT support engineer will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to the IT manager. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems and Microsoft Exchange environment plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Good working knowledge of IT, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Desktop/Laptop PC Hardware and problem resolution skills
  • Experienced in fault finding up to Network infrastructure and Server level - Cisco networking
  • Experience in fault finding and diagnosis of faults with printers and other peripherals.
  • Writing SQL reports and exposure to VMWare & Veeam
  • Proven customer service skills and experience required.
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Self-motivated with ability to work effectively under pressure
  • The ability to work as part of a team and on their own
  • Ideally Qualified to CompTIA A+ standard or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working in an IT Help desk or Service Desk environment.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation beneficial
