Web Developer - Leading online gaming company - 3-6months contract - Gibraltar

I'm working with a leading online gaming company who are looking for a Web Developer on a 3-6 month contract, to be based in their Gibraltar office. The web developer will manage all web and mobile products for the business, and execute all web publishing tasks across the interactive channels.

Key Responsibilities

General website updates. eg text and image changes, adding/editing/deleting content.
Scheduling and publishing pages and content according to business needs, marketing campaigns and project briefs.
Quality checking eg cross browser testing, comparing design draft against final product, making sure all pages match, and all content in place. User testing of websites to make sure all links, images and content are correct.
Ensuring that site/s are at all times W3C compliant and validated.
Understanding of search engine optimization techniques ensuring that pages are optimised for on-page SEO, and have the correct analytics and tracking codes in place.
Managing, and assisting with the development of, all Content Management Systems used by the company
Proactively identifying and driving forward site improvements, developments and fixes.
Working with the Creative and Web Design team providing development skills to help implement cutting-edge web and mobile designs
Ability to effectively and clearly communicate with management and third-party suppliers, including CMS suppliers, product suppliers, SEO consultants, etc.

Experience and Skills

Minimum 2 years' experience developing using web technologies.
Good knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, Notepad++ or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of HTML/XHTML and CSS.
Familiarity with popular frameworks & programming languages such as Javascript, jQuery, PHP and XML is a plus.
Experience working with CMS required experience of Liferay Portal and Wordpress CMS highly advantageous.
Ability to produce responsive web pages for mobile, tablet and desktop devices from design mockups
Positive attitude and work ethic, passionate about the web and the ability to transfer this enthusiasm to the role with enthusiasm and self-motivation.
A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
Good time management. Ability to organize & manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrates flexibility in day-to-day work.
Understands the professional development process and becomes actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and third party service providers.
