Applications Commercial and Licensing Analyst

Contract Duration - 6 months

Manchester

Key Responsibilities and Experience:

. Ability to understand interim and long-term TOM for applications IT hosting to determine contractual compliance, resulting commercial implications and available technical, contractual and commercial solutions (ie as a result of dual data centre replication design, hot stand by, backup and recovery design etc).

* Ability to analyse 3rd party software T&C to determine contractual and commercial exposure/
implications and remediation (Rights to Use, Rights to Assign, Rights to Operate, Rights to Outsource, Software IPR on proprietary and supplier written software etc).

* Ability to analyse and understand contracts and software licensing T&C to determine the implications provide remediation actions and monitor/control these to a desired and agreed outcome. To create a clear and precise software compliance register (must contain all key information that provides certainty compliance/exposure and remediation actions).

* Be able to research independently or with vendor support software licensing T&C, where contracts are not available. Where software licensing T&C are not available, be able to make educated assumptions and propose short and long term mitigations/decisions based on practising experience.

* Be able to build relationships with 3rd party software suppliers and directly negotiate T&C amendments or recourse settlements with 3rd party suppliers as required

* Be able to fully understand the application migration strategy and determine the resulting contractual and commercial software licensing implications. Also be able to propose amendments to relevant decision/authority levels regarding the migration strategy to minimise commercial and software licensing compliance implications (technical clones, discrete/linked functional clones, stopped/replaced systems etc).

* Ability to converse with Applications and Infrastructure in house and 3rd party teams to draw details required to support the above contractual and commercial activities.

* Ability to tailor and present progress against tasks, commercial and compliance implications (risks/issues) and associated remediation/mitigations to various internal and external stakeholders at various levels. (Dashboard and detail reporting).

* Build effective relationships and communication channels with all types of stakeholders, managing relationships with external, regulators and internal stakeholders (at sponsorship, executive & middle management levels).
