Corporate Insurance Advisor - 9 months - Warwick - Negotiable Daily Rate
A leading Energy and Utilities client of Pontoon is looking for a Corporate Insurance Advisor to join their business to support the Risk and Insurance team in identifying insurable risks and managing them through the cost effective provision of insurance solutions for the clients businesses worldwide. To liaise with the businesses and provide insurance and risk management advice; lead on specific lines of insurance cover and provide support to the rest of the team on other policies to include construction.
Key Experience Required:-
Demonstrable relevant experience within the insurance and risk management profession gained from in-house positions, underwriting or broking.
- Experienced in reviewing and negotiating insurance terms and conditions including conducting policy wording reviews and plaing in the London and alternative markets.
- Experience of presenting to insurance and non-insurance audiences and collating underwriting packs and data for consideration by insurance markets
Qualifications Required:-
Desirable: ACII/IRM qualified (or progression)
Key Tasks:-
Support senior members of the team, and in some cases lead, in the assessment, review and recommendation of insurance requirements for designated businesses and projects across the client; and implement the approved insurance strategy to ensure appropriate protection of client's assets and insurable liabilities.
- Actively identify areas where the Risk and Insurance team needs to develop its strategy.
- Communicate the group insurance strategy to designated businesses and generally across the client.
- Collate, analyse and submit underwriting information to insurers and reinsurers annually (and as and when required) to ensure all material matters are disclosed and insurances are efficiently placed.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of insurance market influences on designated lines of insurance coverage to ensure the client benefits or is protected from any market developments accordingly.
- Advise the business in the context of entering into commercial contracts on issues that relate to insurance.
