A Renewable Energy client is looking for a SCADA (Radio) Engineer to work on its offshore wind farm projects. This role will be based out of the clients Danish offices.Our client is looking for a Consultant who can start this role 12.5 month role from the 14th March 2016 up until 31st March 2017, with the possibility of further extension thereafter. This is 5 days a week, 8 hours per day on average. Our client is looking for the SCADA (Radio) Engineer to oversee the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning phases from the telecom contractor. The Consultant will review the design documents, verify correct licenses from Offcom, take part in FAT SATS, oversee installation and ensure that the client gets the required quality of all systems. The role will be carried out in close co-operation with the lead radio specialist. The SCADA (Radio) Engineer must be able to explain terms such as antenna radiation patterns, RSSI levels, free space path loss and have past experience with implementing TETRA and VHF systems.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of microwave links would be an advantage.
- Hold a valid GWO certification for offshore work.
- 5 years of specialist experience and technical knowledge at BSc level
- Good Project Engineer (technical killed, integrity, communication, adaptability, teamwork, decision-maker and planner)
- Good communication skills and must be a team player
- Good business accruement
