Description
We’re looking for creative digital designers in the United Kingdom to join our exciting and fast-growing tech company that is changing the charity sector through impactful and accessible websites.
What you'll be doing
The role
• Designing and building websites on Raising IT’s unique platform, tailoring the look and feel for each non-profit client using CSS3 and a touch of jQuery, based on inputs from a Raising IT strategist and design survey.
• Hitting the schedule of delivering each client website within an allocated time
• Running a one day on-site workshop (to a structure defined by Raising IT) with the client anywhere in the UK. That means you’ll need to be based in the UK.
• Taking part in client calls remotely with a Raising IT Delivery Manager.
• Ensuring appropriate documentation, handover and feedback throughout.
What we're looking for
Experience
• Proven experience of designing and building beautiful and functional responsive websites in a variety of styles.
• Experience of presenting and running workshops directly with clients.
• Experience of working with CMS systems.
• Experience of working with charities or other non-profits would be a bonus but is not essential.
Skills
• You are a creative designer and front-end developer who loves all things digital with a passion about how design can transform user experience.
• You are highly practical and design with ease of build in mind.
• An expert at HTML and CSS who can build fully responsive websites that degrade gracefully and adhere to web and accessibility standards.
• You understand and can implement CSS3 animations, transitions, 3d transforms and know when these embellishments and interactions are appropriate.
• You have at least a general understanding of jQuery
• You can keep within design constraints and hit deadlines under time pressure.

• £200-£240 per day
• Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm as standard, flexible hours could be agreed. Please mention in your cover note if you have requirements for flexible hours.
