Description

Website Redesign Coordinator

NYU Steinhardt

As a website redesign coordinator, you'll work with top-notch web professionals, administrators, and faculty at NYU Steinhardt, coordinating three academic department website redesign projects simultaneously. The position will be integral to determining and meeting user needs and achieving program-, department-, and school-specific goals, in addition to accurately conveying the academic rigor and excitement of degrees offered.

This role requires a strong background in information architecture, content strategy, and user persona development/research. Our work demands a self-starter and a willingness to hit the ground running.

Here’s what you would do:

  • Act as a liaison between the academic department and the NYU Steinhardt Web Team;
  • Keep the projects on time and assist the department with meeting deadlines;
  • Analyze the academic program, department, and school's fundamental goals and needs by collaborating with program administrators and faculty;
  • Work to understand user personas and audience’s needs - and translate them into easily discoverable elements;
  • Provide recommendations for information architecture, wireframes, and content strategy;
  • Prepare recommendations for improvement based on user testing, competitor research, and website analytics;
  • Solve problems by addressing what causes an issue before crafting a solution.

We require the following qualifications and skills:

  • 2-year experience in website design and information architecture;
  • An online portfolio or links to previous web projects;
  • A highly motivated and self-directed individual who knows how to set priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, and to manage complex and simultaneous projects;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly convey web-specific information to non-website professionals.
