As a freelance Java back-end Developer you will be part of the business development in online asset management with directors and a team, Advisors and international Investors from the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Also you will be carrying out the role of a backend developer while you will also be learning about asset management, Funds, ETFs, Legal and Corporate Finance. The initial project will be for 4-6 months with a big chance of extension.

What do we expect as Freelance Back-End Specialist
- Creative and dinamic solution-thinker with a focus on the user
- 5+ years software engineering and systems administration experience
- Experience with Amazon Web Services APIs
- Strong Java skills (Java8)
- Experience developing for PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Understanding of building SOAP APIs
- Comfortable with basic Unix/Linux administration
- Jira and Confluence
- GIT
Furthermore following skills/experiences are beneficial:
- IT Infrastructure Management tools Chef/Puppet
- Experience with projects in the financial services industry (specifically electronic trading or asset management)
- Experience working in Agile distributed teams
- Working knowledge of web and application servers management and configuration (e.g. Apache, Nginx, Tomcat)
