Senior DevOps Engineer (Java) - Amsterdam

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (Java) to join our client in creating innovative products in modern satellite, intern-based media and Internet security. You will be part of a dynamic and international development team, building the bridge between infrastructure and development. This in the field of modern satellite, Internet-based media and Internet security, in a fast paced environment with the latest technologies and standards.
Being a Senior DevOps Engineer means you will manage high available and fully scalable web services product, while using the cutting edge software development and testing technologies based on Java platform. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Development, Operations, Cloud Deployments, crypto, and secure protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Deployment of all releases into test and development environments
  • Improving functionality of webservers
  • Plan, Design and Implementation
  • Take part in multi-disciplinary teams (ie Development, Test and Customer Support)
  • Liaise with several stakeholders

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in Javastack deployments
  • Experience in open source infrastructures: Linux/Unix (BASH), Cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • Monitoring: Zabbix, Nagios
  • Automation/Configuration: Puppet, Chef, Ansible and/or Salt
  • 3+ years Object Oriented Design & programming
  • 2+ Java EE/SE (frameworks: Spring, Hibernate)
  • Testing & Deployment
  • Excellent English skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing development environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum
