UI Developer

Summary:
UI Developer is responsible for leading cross-functional Agile development teams through the process of defining compelling user designs for Telematics products. The UI Developer uses low fidelity artifacts such as sketches, wireframes, and interaction models to express concepts and gain input on user interface design, and then applies design expertise and the UX standards defined in the organization's style guide to define the final customer-facing product UI. Deliverables will include visualization reports from Mongo DB data.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the product's visual design, information architecture, and interaction model, as well as the overall usability and customer facing components of the product
- Driving simple, intuitive, compelling and consistent feature designs that align closely with the pace of the product's epic and story development timelines and the team's sprint planning activities
- Ensuring that the Product UI Handbook and Style Guide is maintained, ensuring that every customer-facing component and visual element is defined in a consistent manner that streamlines efficient collaborative design across teams and products
- Brings Agile product development experience to bear in balancing the right amount of design with the development team's need to progress quickly while maintaining the integrity of the product's UI
- Striving to ensure that the UI design process is transparent to the cross-functional team and product stakeholders in a way that invites input and sparks valuable ideas
- Establishing a feedback loop that observes existing UI implementation in order to incorporate lessons learned into a continuously improving yet consistent UI
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of total experience in user experience design and architecture supported by a portfolio
- Strong HTML 5 and CSS/LESS skills with some level of proficiency with JavaScript and JQuery
- 1+ years experience using Scrum/Agile
