Senior Voice Test Engineer
Quality Assurance
Lead and participate in voice network integration testing efforts in Business Voice program, work with cross functional teams to develop Test Strategy, Test Plans and Test Cases; configure lab environment, troubleshooting network behaviors, and facilitate end-to-end network testing and quality management. The rapid growing Business Voice program is critical to our Business Customer Services
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) in a computer science, engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a multi-product, multi-vendor, VoIP network integration environment in telecom.
- In-depth strong working knowledge of SIP/SDP and TCP/IP.
- Working knowledge on Session Border Controllers Acmepacket 4250, 4500, & 9200 models and/or Sonus 7000.
- Ability to read & diagnose IP packets through the use of Wireshark packet analyzer.
- Solaris/Linux/Unix operating systems installation and configuration
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Highly productive quick learner that seeks and accepts challenges.
- Excellent team player with Can-Do attitude and works well under pressure
PREFERRED
- Working knowledge of various ALG/ESG products (Edgewater/Adtran)
- Understanding of EMS, Device Management Systems, SNMP traps
- Knowledge of Element Management Systems/EMS (Edgeview EMS, Adtran MSP).
- Working experience with Industry Leading IP phones (Polycom/Cisco)
- Experience in Load testing using tools such as,Empirix, SAGE, IXIA, EXFO and SipP.
- Understanding of the PacketCable Multimedia method of Quality of Service.
- Working experience with Camiant Policy Server or other PCRF
- Understanding of the IMS technology
- Experience in the software development life cycle, agile and lean process, as well as test execution and root cause analysis skills
- Knowledge of the following network protocols DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, POP3, HTTP, HTTPS, ARP, DNS, NTP.
- Cisco/Juniper Routers and Switches experience is preferred
- Experience with Broadworks architecture. Must be familiar with the different network elements that compose the Broadworks VOIP platform.
- Knowledge of SS7 and ISDN PRI is a plus
- Working experience with HPQC/ALM or other similar test management tool
