Description
Oracle Database Administrator wanted within an international bank based in Zurich.Your tasks:
- Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for trading and sales, corporate, retail and private banking applications
- Coordinating issues and projects primarily involving installation, configuration and on-going administration tasks for the Oracle databases
- Upgrading and migrating the Oracle databases as well as taking care of configuration management and backup recovery
- Troubleshooting of Database, tuning and query optimizing as well as participating in solving system and performance issues
- Collaborating with other Oracle team members locally and globally
Your experience/skills:
- Education in IT or relevant work experience in the database area
- 7+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration on Unix/Linux platforms
- Expertise in Oracle 11g and Oracle DWH environments as well as knowhow in PL/SQL, Korn-shell development and in Exadata infrastructure
- Proficiency in Oracle Parallel execution, Oracle multi-level portioning and Oracle Wait Events as well as practical experience with DB tuning/optimization in several terabyte applications
- Proven experience in RMAN (restore/backup) as well as knowledge of copy/cloning techniques (e.g. transportable tablespaces, storage mirroring based DB clones)
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a big plus
