Mechanical Technician - Valves

My client who is a global engineering company is looking for a number of Mechanical Technicians on a 3-6 month contract basis. My client is looking to recruit people in the following areas.......Grangemouth, North/South Wales, Yorkshire, Birmingham, Teeside and Southampton.
The purpose of this role will be to provide a range of mechanical valve maintenance services to Company's customers in a safe and effective manner.
Some other responsibilities will include:
- To ensure all tools, equipment, and protective clothing are well maintained
- To provide specialist engineering services to Customers in accordance with the companies, QA & Health and Safety procedures.
- To travel to the Customer site and carry out work as instructed by the Company.
- To complete work allocated diligently in order to maximise productivity
- To attend site induction/local training and Health & Safety training courses as required.
Skills and knowledge required
- Time served in an engineering related skill and/or an appropriate engineering qualification eg NVQ, C&G, ONC etc.
- You MUST have experience with Control Valves to be considered for this role
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Mechanical role.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills through assessment (SQEP) to carry out the role required to enable them to perform their Principal Accountabilities
- Must have an awareness of Health & Safety issues
