Description
Azule, an IT Consulting Firm located in Eagan, MN, has an opportunity for an experienced, Oracle DBA, with experience working in Government projects, willing to work on contract at a half-time basis. This 7-9 month project opportunity is with our client in St. Paul, MN with an expected start date in early-to-mid March, 2016. This 20+ hour per week position is open to W-2, 1099 or Corp-to-Corp consultants.
Responsibilities of the Selected Candidate
The selected candidate will have consulting experience in a government environment, working as an Oracle Data Base Administrator installing new database using the data in an existing DB.
Required qualifications:

BA/BS Degree
-
At least 7 years of experience working with Oracle DB, versions (9-11); 5 years as a DBA
-
Oracle RDBMS Certification (OCA, OCP )

Three engagements lasting more than six months in relevant Database Developer/Administrator roles on large projects ($150,000 or more)

Three engagements modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information provided by application developers

Three engagements planning for backup and recovery of Oracle database information including restoring the information
-
One engagement providing and designing tools to assist in the management of the Oracle database and transaction processing environment.

One engagement maintaining archived data

One engagement working in an Agile software development environment.
Desired Skills

Experience working with Rally,

Experience working with Java developers in a project setting,

Install and upgrade an Oracle Database server and application tools,

Provide ongoing assessment of Oracle DB performance & identifying problem areas,

Work with architecture, application development and operations to create an environment meeting current and future business needs,
