Job Summary:
The successful candidate will work as part of our highly innovative software development team, helping to develop network management solutions for our enterprise level customers, using a variety of software based technologies on Windows and Linux platforms.
The role will be primarily focused on adding new functionality to our industry leading network management products and will cover all aspects of the software development life cycle, including feasibility, design, implementation, testing and post-release maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software development with a strong interest in developing usable, scalable, data-intensive application software. They will have a natural aptitude for problem solving and a talent for customer-oriented UI design. They will be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills.Knowledge of network management and networking technologies would be an advantage, although not an absolute requirement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a Computer Software related discipline (or equivalent)
Experience in developing software systems, using several of the following technologies: C/C++, Java SE/EE, JavaScript, HTML, XML, RDBMS/SQL
Experience of object oriented design and programming concepts
Ability to demonstrate initiative and excellent problem solving skills
Strong web development skills and a talent for designing effective, user-friendly UIs.
Highly self-motivated and disciplined, with a focus on quality
Dedicated to meeting commitments
Must be a team player, with good interpersonal skills
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of scalable, distributed architectures and asynchronous code is highly desirable
Knowledge of network management and networking technology would be advantageous
