Role: Foundation Fabrication SupervisorLocation: Poland
Rate: £ per day
Duration: 7-10 months
Quanta are currently looking to recruit an experienced Foundation Fabrications Supervisor to support our client, a market leading renewables energy provider, and its Offshore wind farm based in the North East of England.
The successful candidate will provide site representation at the fabrication yard in relation to the co-ordination and supervision of activities during execution, to include both Quality control and inspection activites.
Duties:
- Review of procedures for fabrication (for welding (WBS), coating, measurements, general handling)
- Daily supervision of ongoing fabrication works at fabrication site
- Participation in visits/audits at contractor / sub-contractors fabrication sites
- Inspection of steel and coating work according to DE requirements / tolerances
- Follow up on inspection punch lists and handling of findings in fabrication were DE requirements are not meet
- Supervision of contractors ITP on steel work / coating (Inspection & test plan)
- Handling of 3rd Part consultants (welding-/coating specialists and technicians)
- Review of documentation on steel-/coating work executed on site
- Handling of load out phase from fabrication site to installation vessel
- Final inspection to verify 100% alignment with technical/contractual requirements
Qualification of Candidate
- Technical knowledge of steel fabrication for offshore structures
- Technical knowledge of coating work for offshore structures
- Technical knowledge of requirements/standards for offshore steel structures
- Knowledge regarding test of welding works (MT / NDT etc.)
- Experience in execution large fabrication contracts for steel work
- Experience in understanding/securing Our clients requirements are meet in the daily fabrication at contractor site
Shift Pattern
- Full time with 5 working days per week. A working day is 8 hours in average. Night and weekend work will occur.
