Frontend Developer with e-commerce experience

Description

A new Bitcoin casino is looking for a Front End Developer to join the team. As the sole Front End Developer, you will have had experience working with both backend developers and business stakeholders to produce good, performant and slick web interfaces.

You will be responsible for the look and feel, design and front end technologies of an up-and-coming Bitcoin gambling site. The site’s philosophy is around “product first” so while UI design is important, UX and performance is more important. Also, e-commerce experience is a must, as this is going to be essential to understand our end goal and vision for the business.

You will have opinions and thoughts about the best direction and options available, and you will be able to argue those points succinctly and with backing data. However you will be able to compensate and compromise should the ideal solution not be possible. As a gambling company we must comply to rules and regulations that do not always make technical sense. Additionally we may be limited by third party integrations. Otherwise you will have complete ownership of all code viewed by customers.

As we are a dispersed team, you will be comfortable working from home (or cafe, hotel, etc.) and be available on-line for planned meetings as well as ad-hoc calls or chats. You will already have all hardware and software required to perform your tasks.

You are a self-starter who does not need or want micro-management, and will deliver tasks on or before the times you promised them. If you find yourself lacking any immediate tasks, you will always find something to do to improve the site. You are comfortable working without complete requirements and can make sound decisions yourself or raise a query with the team when required.

You will ideally have worked as the sole Front End Developer in a previous project.
