Description

Software Asset Manager required ASAP on a 3-6 month contract in Warrington - £ per day.

Job Role:

To undertake inventories, reporting and analysis of Applications, PC's/Devices and Users, using the company's Snow Licensing Manager application and data supplied from Active Directory and other sources.

Identify 'Software Application Owners' in the business user community at a User and IT Technical level, for key applications that will be retained in the future operating model.

Gather information on existing licences and enter in Snow License Manager as the single source of truth for software licensing. Work with software owners and manufacturers to confirm software compatibility with Windows 10 and identify what numbers of applications will need to be upgraded and the potential financial exposure associated with essential upgrades (this is already underway).

Complete UAM documents to submit applications for packaging so that they can be distributed by SCCM automatically. Create descriptive content and logo graphics to support the application advertisements in the Store.

Test applications after packaging and test installation and uninstallation using SCCM and System Center.

Further develop the application Whitelist and Blacklist in Snow License Manager.

Experience required:

Proven experience of Software Asset Management techniques. Proven experience managing suppliers and outsourcing. Excellent Excel skills for data analysis, particularly - pivot tables and if possible Power BI Designer.
