**SAS & R - DATA SCIENCE CONSULTANT - £60k - Chippenham**Are you passionate about data and currently looking for your next challenge?
Computer Futures are working with a market leading data analysis company, in the great location of Chippenham. You will be working as a data science consultant directly with customers to advise on the best approaches to data analysis and design, develop and implement analytic solutions. The ideal candidate will be Adaptable, enthusiastic and able to manage time and tasks well, communicating frequently to the project managers.
The role is paying up to £60,000 depending on skills and experience with great benefits.
Essential skills for the role:
-Excellent attention to detail ensuring a high quality of work and strong written and spoken English.
-Experience of machine learning or data mining algorithms and methods.
-Extensive knowledge of analytic programming languages, software, techniques, and processes (knowledge of R is essential)
-BSc or BA in a computer science, engineers or mathematics subject.
-Over 4 years of programming experience.
-SQL / NoSQL database technology knowledge.
-An appreciation of development practices i.e code design, peer reviews, unit testing and code control
-The ability to travel including driving and flying to client sites.
Main duties:
-Supporting the main project team and external customers with the design and development of projects.
-Supporting the sales team providing inputs to proposals and technical support.
-Ensure full compliance to client standards.
-Develop and assist with potential training to fellow colleagues and clients.
-Provide accurate and timely reports and progress updates to the team and clients.
-Ensure company coding is adhered to.
Desirable skills:
-HTML5
-JavaScipt (Backbone.js or Angular.js)
-Python / perl / ruby /c ++ / Java /.NET
-Big data frameworks i.e Hadoop
-Experience in Finance / Insurance / Sensory/ Energy / Marketing /Pharmaceuticals
