Description
An FPGA design consultant is required to join my clients team to develop new camera platforms where they do hardware design, firmware design (FPGA) and Embedded software (ESW).
The consultant's task will be:
- Finish the work for some camera variants based on the same hardware platform. VHDL programming of camera detector sequencing.
- Build all firmware for a new camera except for the image transport layer.
- Modify firmware of existing platforms based on bug reports and feature requests.
- Debug firmware in simulation but also directly on hardware.
More details on our camera platforms:
- The platform where most work and action is needed has a main board which is using a Xilinx Zynq FPGA, It controls the image detector and processes and transfers images. The camera management is in control by the software running on the ARM processor of the Zynq.
- VHDL is used for coding
- Tools: Xilinx ISE, Vivado, Modelsim, Chipscope
- Languages: VHDL, Python, Tcl
- Daily presence on site is a requirement
