Description
A leading international software company in Galway has a vacancy for a web designer/developer with 2 years experience to join a team providing a variety of web related services for an initial 12 month contract.
The team's roles are varied, including web development and maintenance, web applications development, development of tools to create online newsletters, web surveys etc.
In addition, the team provides services for testing web sites to Web Accessibility WCAG guidelines, provision of Web Analytics services and responsive Web site development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior web developer to join a well-established company, to work alongside highly experienced developers and to expand upon their experience
Activities
Development of web applications & web maintenance support
- Development of bespoke applications & web solutions to meet customer needs, mostly on Intranet platforms using jQuery, SharePoint lists, JavaScript
- Providing Web support for specific Service Level Agreements in place including maintenance of sites, enewsletter creation etc.
- Providing Customer demos of tools developed within the team,
- Implementation of new Branding on the Intranet platforms using CSS, web services, SharePoint designer
- Creation of applications to facilitate development of tools to meet business needs eg Online Newsletter Tools, Customer Survey tools etc.
- Implementing and supporting high quality, scalable and extendable Intranet solutions.
- Design and implement development workflow.
- Coding, testing and implementing solutions in Intranet & SharePoint environments
Skills Required
Mandatory:
- 3rd Level IT Qualification
- 2 years' Experience
- Strong Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Ability to work to Strict Deadlines
Desirable but not mandatory:
- Applications like Photoshop/Dreamweaver
- SharePoint 2013
- Angular
- Responsive design
- SOAP,JSON, XSLT or XML
- Experience in JavaScript (JQuery)
- Experience of Content Management Systems (CMS)
