Description
Our leading client who is an Asset Management business requires a Management Account for a period of 3 months. My client who is a financial services organisation focussed in the renewable energy sector who is comprised of Advisory, Asset Management and Investment Management divisions.
The Management Accountant will join the Asset Management team and will be directly involved in the preparation of statutory and management accounts for multiple clients.
Role, duties and responsibilities:

Ability to hit the ground running producing quarterly and yearly financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries

Responsible for the delivery of year-end Financial statement and Audit process for Asset Management companies

Lead monthly business review of management accounting packs

Calculation, presentation and review of VAT returns

Deliver monthly technical and financial review to UK Asset Management clients

Manage delivery of technical and financial data to external stakeholders (ie banks)

Carry out continuous reviews of processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operations
Person specification:
-
ACCA or ACA or CIMA Qualified Account with strong experience preparing monthly, quarterly and annual accounts - essential

Experience of working within an accounting practice or asset management organisation - essential (and/or)

Experience of FMO/ITO and/or BPO contract management from within a major company across multiple clients/SVP's/contracts

Experience of managing outsourced/insourced service providers and of creating controls and standards

Proven technical ability

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management

Strong commercial acumen

Background in Asset Management - essential
