Technical Skills
- Oracle Production support experience as Oracle DBA ( Oracle 9i, 10g/11g/12c Oracle RAC) on SUSE Linux, AIX, Solaris and Windows platforms.
- Oracle Database Upgrade, DB Migration, DB Clone, DB Refresh activities.
- Oracle Database installation, configuration, support.
- Oracle RAC installation, configuration, Support
- Oracle iAS and Oracle OAS installation, configuration and support.
- Oracle OTG installation, configuration, Support.
- OCP 10g/11g/RAC and ITIL V3 (F) certification.
- Well versed with other databases activities such as RDBMS Installation (Oracle 9.X, 10.X, 11.x/RAC)
- Database Design, creation, Database Estimation/Sizing, Licensing.
- Very good knowledge and experience of Backup and Recovery - RMAN including exposure to plan and strategize backup and recovery operations
- Very good SQL and Shell Scripting knowledge, cron jobs, DBMS jobs.
- Excellent in DB troubleshooting skills and Performance Tuning, AWR, ADDM
- OEM configuration and troubleshooting
- Management of database resources (assignment of tablespaces, space in HD, update system parameters, etc.).
- Management of corporate monitoring tools: OEM, RMAN, Tivoli monitoring, Service-Now, Toad, Oracle SQL Developer; monitoring of events associated with the applied technologies.
- User and Security management, Access review
- Sound knowledge of Oracle RAC clusters, Dataguard, 10g/11g Grid control
- Good presentation skill to CXO level on RCA (Root Caused Analysis) findings.
- Sound knowledge to co-ordinate with Oracle corporation support/Metalink SR support
