Description

Our Global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Supply Chain Advisor. The Supply Chain Advisor will be required to manage a Consultancy to deliver the documentation and to lead the development for the projects CfD Supply Chain Plan. The Supply Chain Advisor will need to demonstrate a number of initiatives to support this process and ill need to have co-ordination, which will include extracting information from the suppliers, identifying skills base and delivering supplier events. The role will be focusing on the period up to submission of the Supply Chain Plan and then to follow up any activities that are committed to in the plan. Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Advisor who will be able to start this 6 - 9 month freelance contract ASAP.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining the Project Supply Chain Plan, with necessary support from other project functions, to support the projects objectives
  • Manage the Supply Chain Plan Consultancy to lead the development of the projects CfD Supply Chain Plan which will develop with the CfD committee and wider project
  • Outline sufficient evidence that the project will make a material contribution to the economic growth and viability of the Supply Chain supporting the relevant low carbon electricity sector
  • Contain actions which have already been untaken or will be undertaken in the future
  • To work with the Stakeholder Manager to include details from the industrial plan to include actions to make it possible to create positive contributions to the UK industry and reduce LCOE
  • Interface with tier 1 suppliers to extract necessary information and date to support the Supply Chain Plan application
  • Deliver relevant initiatives by the Supply Chain Plan Consultancy
  • Support CfD application process ensuring supply chain issues are considered
  • Support stakeholder manager and communications in providing the industrial case information
  • Undertake assessment of the future skills requirements at each stage of the project
  • Assess/promote local and regional content in supply chain
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
  • Experience in a similar role preferably within the renewable energy industry
  • Must be a good communicator and have good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent organisational and Project Management skills
  • Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required, preferably MS Project
  • Previous experience in the relevant industry would be an advantage
