Ops Engineer - OmniChannel
For one of our leading blue chip clients we urgently require an Ops Engineer with OmniChannel experience for a long contract in North Holland.
Required Skills and experience:
- 4+ Years experience in a complex IT environment
- Certification and/or demonstrated proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages, including for example BASH,
- Infrastructure Stack including 1 or more of the following Linux/AIX/Tomcat/WebSphere/Cassandra/Oracle)
- Managing virtualized Linux/AIX systems
- Managing applications in a REST API architecture
- OmniChannel user experience.
- Fluent Dutch language skills.
Nice to haves:
- Managing Tomcat/WebSphere and Cassandra/Oracle environments
- SQL
- Scrum;
- Continuous delivery
- ITIL
Job Description:
As an Ops Engineer you'll be responsible for the optimal functioning of your application to the Infrastructure Stack (Linux/AIX/Tomcat/WebSphere/Cassandra/Oracle). You're responsible for both the stack and the application. Specifying, designing, and implementing Performance and acceptance tests (including High Availability/Disaster Recovery and Resilience Tests) with the help of Dev Engineer. Specification, design, testing and deployment of the runtime and rollback scripts (eg. Stop/Start/purge/
backup).
The configuration and deployment of monitoring Tooling (for 24x7 monitoring of the Master Control Room (MCR) using appropriate Event Alerts.
Ensure that your team and application fully contributing to the implementation of Service Transition and Service Operations ITIL processes.
The DevOps teams will adopt the Scrum methodology and Continuous delivery Engineering Practices. Also in the process that is followed to design, build and test applications as well as take in the process of managing, controlling and ultimately decommissioning applications.
