Description
FCV Interactive is the user-focused transformation agency. As a result of exciting new business wins, we are seeking a PHP Developer to join our Development team on a contract or full time basis, in either Vancouver and/or Toronto. As a PHP Developer, you will work with a talented team creating digital experiences that make life better.
Responsibilities
Defining and refining requirements with the team, implementing and maintaining a wide range of dynamic and interactive websites.
Optimizing for speed and compatibility; adding features that contribute to the website without sacrificing quality.
Assist clients with the formulation of their web strategies.
Work within project management schedules to meet deadlines.
Collaborate with other members of our team to ensure consistency with the overall goals of each project and client expectations.
Ensure code and features are developed to meet requirements and standards.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ years of experience with Web Development.
3+ years of experience with PHP.
3+ years of Drupal experience a MUST; WordPress experience is desirable as well.
An expert with Apache, Linux, and MySQL
Experience with full life cycle of large scale Drupal projects (6+ months).
Experience with the agile development methodology.
Experience with DOM, JavaScript, W3C standards and browser compatibility.
Experience with some form of continuous integration (Jenkins CI etc.)
Strong communication, problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Ability to focus under pressure and deal with ambiguity.
A sense of humour and positive attitude.
We like to play an active role in the Drupal community: developers are encouraged to contribute code back to the open source community.
